  4. GENERAL

  6. To run from hard disk simply copy all the files and directories from both
  7. disks to the hard disk of your choice, this can be in the root directory or
  8. a drawer.
  9.  
  10. ALWAYS USE A BACKUP OF YOUR 10/10 DISK and ensure that you LEAVE THE GAMES
  11. USING THE QUIT OPTION rather than resetting the Amiga to ensure your
  12. results are saved.

  14. Pressing Shift-S on any GAME menu screen saves the current players results
  15. to DISK immediately.
  16.  
  17. Note that with the CURRENT PLAYER set to EMPTY, the achievement record is
  18. never altered and high scores are shown within the game being played but
  19. not saved to disk. If the current player is set to empty and several people
  20. enter their names for a multi-player game the high score tables are also
  21. not saved to disk.

  24. CERTIFICATE PRINTING

  26. To print a certificate in graphic form you should select the disk option
  27. after you've selected print certificate. You should save it onto a blank,
  28. formatted disk (there isn't room on the 10 out of 10 disks). The saved file
  29. is IFF format and will have the name of the player as the filename. This
  30. can  be loaded into DPaint or other paint programs and printed in the usual
  31. way.

  33. 10 out of 10 Educational Systems can print a certificate for you. It will
  34. contain the same facts as the one you can print yourself but is a much
  35. enhanced version and is printed with a laser printer on high quality paper.
  36. If you want a certificate printing send a £1 coin with a backup of your
  37. Disk (NOT the saved certificate disk). It will be returned with your
  38. certificate. We will extract the facts for the CURRENT player and print the
  39. certificate. If you require more than one send details of which names we
  40. should print and enclose 75p for each one after the first. If you want a
  41. full name on the certificate (e.g. John Smith) please let us know with your
  42. order. Also,tell us whether you want the signature space left blank or
  43. whether it should be signed by someone from 10 out of 10 Educational
  44. Systems.

  46. WORDFIT
  47.  
  48. Correct spelling is important in all subjects - it now accounts for a large 
  49. percentage of all marks in many examinations in all subjects. To help
  50. children gain what could be vital additional marks the fun game WORDFIT has
  51. been included FREE with the 10 out of 10 Mathematics (Algebra) suite. It is
  52. a self-contained game - not loaded via the Main Menu - and its word file
  53. contains many of the technical words that will be encountered in an Algebra
  54. examination. To load WORDFIT simply insert DISK 2 into drive 0 and switch
  55. on/reset the Amiga.

  59. drawer. Make sure that you copy the font files starting with the letters ME
  60. from the FONTS drawer on DISK 2 into your own fonts drawer.

  65. The questions for the six grades are in files Q1 to Q6 in the Qfile
  66. directory. If you wish to use your own graded questions just use those
  67. names on a backup of the disc. Note that as they will become the new
  68. questions for the grades, the achievement chart will be altered as they are
  69. answered.

  71. All your own question files should go in the Qfile directory and should not
  72. normally be called Q1 to Q6. When children use them the result will not be
  73. entered on the achievement chart but high scores will still be obtained.

  75. When you enter your own questions you MUST ensure that EVERY question and
  76. answer is followed by # and every question has ONE right answer preceded by
  77. !. The MAXIMUM number of questions in a file is 100.
